Here is a beautiful close up time lapse of a deep red rose going from bud to fully open. Then, as that bloom begins to fade, two buds behind it start to open. Stunning color with the vibrant satiny red blooms against the shiny deep green leaves.
Here is another time lapse video, this one of an entire rose garden. This is in the Cranford Rose Garden at Brooklyn Botanic. Very interesting to see how the crowds ebb and flow at the gardens. Also nice that they got a rainy day in the mix.
Here is an excellent video of a rose set in slow motion and rendered with a watercolor effect. See the rose go from budding to gradually opening fully, all the while looking as if it were a watercolor painting come to life.
Here is another time lapse of a single flower going from bud to open bloom, this time with a pale yellow rose. This video is also different in that the background is a plain white, and not shiny green leaves.
Here are two final roses, both pale pink. These are the old fashioned types, with all of the ruffles. Beautiful to see them opening and closing slightly with the sunlight.
