Repotting Your Phalaenopsis Orchid
In this video Matt of Matt's Garden shows how to repot a Phalaenopsis Orchid. This should be done after you have had the plant for a year or two, and when the plant has finished flowering. Very interesting to see the roots of a bigger plant without the potting medium. He discusses the two potting mediums of bark and sphagnum moss. He then shows how to prune off the dead roots. A bit daunting to prune the roots, but he makes it look easy. He then talks about the pot to use. Finally he shows how to put the plant into the pot with the potting medium.
