Pleiospilos is a succulent. Common names include "Spit Rock" or "Living Rock".

It can be planted outdoors in areas without danger of frost. Freezing can kill a Pleiospilos.
It needs a lot of sun and well drained soil.
Do not let your Pleiospilos sit for long in damp soil. Regular light waterings, becoming thoroughly dry in between, are optimum for plant health.
It is a slow growing plant, however a small Pleiospilos planted in a sunny location may triple in size in just one year.
Propagate by careful division, preferably with a rooting hormone and anti fungal on the wound.
Be careful to not plant it where it can be easily injured, such as by the edge of a sidewalk, as any scarring is likely to be permanent.
